Hannah and Jeremy met while attending UCSB. They started off as friends, first meeting at a 2 week Earth Science course in Mammoth. Both Hannah and Jeremy called their moms after meeting each other in Mammoth, saying that they had met someone "special". Their friendship quickly blossomed into something more. They became a couple in October of 2018 after a Halloween party, where they both showed up independently dressed in matching banana suits. The rest was history!

For the proposal, Jeremy got down on one knee at Hannah's favorite place in the world, Catalina Island! The proposal took place on the veranda of the historic casino overlooking Avalon Bay, and afterwards Hannah was surprised to find her family and friends waiting to celebrate with her! Jeremy proposed with a one of a kind ring made by Hannah's brother Alex.
